Our location at the heart of the business capital of the world has helped to define and shape London Business School for the past fifty years. As such we’re delighted to have secured an iconic building as an education hub for the next fifty years. Idan Ofer, industrialist and principal of the Quantum Pacific Group, has pledged through The Idan and Batia Ofer Family Foundation, a landmark £25 million gift towards funding the redevelopment of the building. This cutting-edge teaching and learning facility will be named ‘The Sammy Ofer Centre’ in honour of Idan’s late father, Sammy Ofer KBE, a distinguished shipping magnate and philanthropist.
An easy walk from our Regent’s Park campus, the Grade II listed building provides the perfect location to expand our footprint in London and, ultimately, on the world. The transformed space will include seminar rooms, study areas, social space and six lecture theatres, and will increase our teaching space by 70%.
Our task is to sensitively restore and convert this magnificent building into a modern, state-of-the-art education centre to be enjoyed by our entire School community. A place where we can come together to test, share and apply new ideas and new ways of thinking.
Refurbishing The Sammy Ofer Centre will allow us to extend our teaching and research, and will offer crucial flexibility to invest in improvements across our original campus.
This is an opportunity to transform the School’s future. We invite you to help.
